  2. Marmite is the name given to two similar food spreads, a British version produced in the United Kingdom and South Africa and the other in New Zealand. Marmite is made from yeast extract, a by-product of beer brewing, and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

I haven't really tasted it yet, so I don't have first-hand experience on how it tastes. I just googled it. :)

I hope this helps! Good luck!

  8. marmite is similar to Vegemite. quite a strong taste and definitely an acquired one. i can't stand the stuff myself but it is very good for you, loaded with B12 vit. available in all British supermarkets, probably overseas as well somewhere

  9. OK Wease...   Put it on THINLY and you just may like it, eventually.    Although it is said that kids eat it like peanut butter in the USA...no one EVER means that they put it on thick like peanut butter in the USA!

Got it?  ONLY put it on very, very thinly!  ..On toast, crackers, etc.

  10. Try it very, very thin...and there are two chances: either you hate it or you will get addicted to it. :)
