  1. make sure its refridgerated. and make sure u wash when u eat it but u cant wash and put in fridge that will make mold grow faster. just eat it the day u buy it. or buy something else. strawberries and bananas are okay. blue berries too.

  2. I hear you.  Take them out of the plastic and put them in a bowl lined with a scot towel.  They seem to last longer and don't get as wet.

  3. it's horrible... and they're so expensive. if you aren't going to eat them the day you buy them, put them in the freezer.

  4. where i used to work they kept their fruit for cocktails in juice.... apparently it stops it from going yuck so fast. we did it with strawberries and i guess it worked.

  5. Once purchased, raspberries should be eaten within a day or two. At home, remove the berries from their container and carefully check the fruit. Discard any crushed or moldy berries; mold spreads quickly and will spoil the lot. If there is any moisture on the fruit, blot the berries gently with paper towels, because moisture hastens decay. For best results, spread raspberries in a single layer on a plate or tray lined with paper towels. If you don't plan to use them within a few hours, refrigerate. Although raspberries are rarely dirty, if you feel you must wash them, do so carefully to avoid ruining their texture and flavor. Rinse gently under a spray of cool water, then spread the berries onto paper towels to dry.

Fortunately, raspberries freeze well, so if you're lucky enough have a berry patch or access to a U-pick field, you can enjoy your bounty all year long. Freezing berries is very simple. Spread in a single layer on a rimmed baking tray lined with wax or parchment paper, making sure the berries do not touch each other, and then freeze until solid. Once frozen, transfer the berries to freezer bags or containers. Frozen raspberries do not need to be thawed before using them in recipes.
