What the heck just happened on CNN???!!!!!!?

Wolf Blitzer was talking on the phone to a very concerned and practically frantic Bill Nungesser (Plaquemines Parish, LA President) about how their levies are giving way and they need to evacuate NOW and suddenly Laura Bush walks onto the stage and Wolf suddenly cuts off Bill to listen to the crowd cheering for Laura and her waving. They didn't even go back to him.

Why is this convention going on right now? My god it's a repeat of three years ago.

Agree.  They should just take a roll call vote and be done with it.  McCain didn't stand a chance anyway since picking unqualified Palin as VP.
