What the h**l are synchro monsters?

Question

i found a yugioh card maker and it has something called synchro monsters, i havent played the game in more than 2 years so im way out of the loop, what are synchro monsters, what do they do, and do they even exist or are they just a thing on the website, if u can, give me a link to somrthing explaining them in detail, if u cant find anything to link, than just try to explain it as thoroughly as possible, ty

Synchro Monsters are a new Type of Monster Card to be released in Starter Deck 2008. The color of their card frame is white. These cards are included in the Fusion Deck, now called the Extra Deck in the OCG due to Synchro Monsters not being Fusion Monsters.

Synchro Monsters require Tuner Monsters to be Summoned. When the total Level of the Tuner monster and the other monsters on your field matches the Synchro monster's Level, by sending them to the Graveyard, you can Summon the Synchro monster. Tuner Monsters can be Effect Monsters or Normal Monsters.

"Tuner" is the first secondary Type for Normal Monsters.

So basically its a fusion monster that requires a tuner monster plus 1 or more non-tuner monster with the total level (Tunner monster+Non-Tunner) equal to the level of the Synchro Monster in order to be summoned.
