  1. idk

  2. wtf!! man that has never happened to me. idk. maybe you looking in the wrong folder. put a cd in and see what happens.

  3. Assuming that you haven't opened the computer and done something you shouldn't have done:

The CD drive and DVD drive are most likely on the same cable.  Open the case and look at the backs of the drives.  There should be a cable, about 2" wide, running from one drive to the other, then to the motherboard.  Make sure that the plugs are fully seated (just push them in) on both drives and on the motherboard.

Also there should be a smaller cable connected to each drive, with just 4 wires on it.  (They eventually go back to the power supply.)  Make sure that they're both plugged in.

It;s possible that both drives died at the same time, but highly unlikely.

It's possible that the port they're plugged into (on the motherboard) went bad, but that doesn't usually happen.

  4. Sounds like you may have shorted something on your motherboard.  If it were me, I'd find a good computer shop (NOT geek squad) to have a diagnostic run.

  5. uh oh....have you tried a restore?  If not you will have to reinstall them.  You can put in the disks you got with the computer and put in what you lack...at least I can with my HP.  If not you will have to call your computer people and ask them.  You might have lost some drivers.

Try this first if restore doesn't work though...

Try starting in Safe Mode to see whether your D: can be found.

    • Go to Device Manager and uninstall the drive. Reboot and let Windows detect and reinstall it, thereby having a driver letter assigned to it again.

    • Get rid of viruses and other parasites.

  6. no idea, contact a computer technicion

  7. Format

  8. perhaps they got unplugged, open your comp and check it out, if not call geek squad.

  9. one of them is faulty

Disconnect one at a time and try the machine

the one that works is ok but the other one will be faulty and pulling the other on down
