The world. You deceive! World mass media conduct propagation of a false information. Russia DID NOT ATTACK Georgia! 07.08.2008 at 22:00 Georgia has attacked South Ossetia. At 3:30 08.08.2008 tanks of the Georgian armies have entered into city Tskhinvali. Artillery bombardment all the day long proceeded, fights with use of tanks and heavy combat material, both against ossetic armies, and against peace inhabitants were conducted. 2000 civil people already were lost. The Russian peacemakers have arrived to South Ossetia in the evening 08.08.2008 for settlement of the conflict and prompting of the world in republic and protection of the Russian citizens living on territory of South Ossetia. Georgia has attacked South Ossetia on eve of Olympiad, it is top of cruelty and cynicism. We shall tell is not present to WAR!!!

This is a situation if I could I would rather not stick my nose in.

Two world wars have begun in instances like this and I don't like the

feeling of this one. Austria for WWI and Poland for WWII.  This part

of the world is volatile and things could get nasty real fast, depend-

The timing was planned to coincide with the world's eyes on the olympics, and like the guy said above, Georgia initiated the military action to take back their breakaway little province sitting on Russian's border, not Putin.

Russia is the aggressor in the eyes of Georgia, crossing into their sovereign territory.  The Russians have their President back home in Moscow to run the govt, they don't need their Prime Minister Putin in China..at the moment.

I hope they agreed on somekind of olympic truce because the number of Russian competitors probably outnumbers the Georgians by a long shot. Maybe they can come together and respect each other for one week.Everybody just needs to get along and have peace with each other during the olympics because it only comes around once every 4 years. I am interested to see what will happen in the fighting events when Georgia faces Russia. I know Russia and Georgia have participants in Judo. And I think wrestling and fencing also. I hope it will be a clean fight.
