  1. It's the gear box that determines how fast the flappy paddle will turn.

  2. The type used in racing cars and cars for boy racers.  There's no clutch pedal just a paddle on the steering column.  You flick it upwards to change up gear and downwards to change down gear.

  3. a semi automatic, there's a lever on the left, behind steering wheel to change down a gear, and a lever on right for changing up. first seen in a f1 Ferrari in 1989, now commonplace on sports cars

  4. It's where water animals hide their s*x toys silly.

  5. Duh!! it is that box right next to the muffler belt!!

  6. This is where you change gear just behind the steering wheel of a car rather than a conventional gear stick.

The name 'paddles' comes from the shape of the stalk you push or pull with your fingers to change gear.

The clutch is automatic so you flick the paddle and it changes gear.

The name of 'flappy paddles' generally came from the tv show Top Gear as the earlier systems were terrible.

Newer versions such as DSG, etc are fantastic and you can change gear far quicker than you could with a manual box.

You can see them here on this photo just behind the steering wheel.
