  1. ask a trainer.

but if you want my opinion, yeah, I think it will go away eventually. Get a massage and it should soothe the muscle.

  2. i believe so you are expanding your next muscles so it will get bigger.

  3. I got that but from rowing with wrong posture- I had to give it up in the end due to a painful neck

  4. This happened to me!! Next time you're on there be very aware of your poster and movements... my problem was putting too much stress and tension on my neck while jogging... so be aware of what you're doing and try to stop doing it! lol

    Good luck!

oh yea... it will go away if you quit doing it

  5. I know this!!

Yes, the neck muscle is what takes over when the core muscles are tierd, hence some chronic excercisers having very large necks- they do too many sit ups then there stomach is ready for.

The same thing can happen if your doing anything that works our you core muscles, if they are terd or weak, your neck somehow takes over and takes the strain.

What you need to do is train at a slower rate- your body is not ready to handle what your throwing at it just yet. Take the incline at a lower level and work your way up over a few months, slowly. Stop when your neck starts to cramp.

You can also try to train your core muscles, but get advice and guidance on this, dont just do what a book tells you as its very easy to not workout your core efficiently and not get a stronger core at all.

The core muscles are your upper and lower stomach muscles, your side/obliques, your lower and mid back and your pelvis. Its very easy to not use your core- or use it incorrectly- for example, its easy to fall into a habit of pushing your stomach outwards to keep your balance whilst doing some core stability excercises so definatly get hands on advice from a qualified instructor or personal trainer.

  6. Wow, that is strange.

It could be your running form, like if you bob your head when you run, if it isn't that, i'd just put it back on the flat and see how you go.
