I was watching the Olympics and I saw these girls dancing around with steamers. I mean WTF? That isn't a sport! How can they get rid of softball and still keep this stupid "sport"?

Gymnastics is soo a sport. If you dont believe me try joining a competitive team. Its not my fault they got rid of softball.

I would like to see a girl with such low-leveled thinking and such big-headed ignorance perform this 'sport.' It's called "rhythmic gymnastics," and the "streamers" are "ribbons," and it's actually harder than it looks.

And FYI, the reason behind the softball removal from the Olympic program is because the IOC thought that softball = complete U.S. domination. If you actually watched all of the previous Olympic softball games, you would've noticed that the U.S. won every single game, so it's pretty unfair for the other countries. Maybe you could do some research once in a while.

rhythmic,but i do consider it a sport because it takes talent to be that flexible and still be twirling hula hoops and ribbons,if u watch they are like cautourtionist ballerinas

Because the world would rather watch a bunch of fit, elegant and beautiful ladies dance with a ribbon than to watch a bunch of sexless, manly, fat, and dirty softball girls such as that manly beast on the US softball team run around like monkeys.

i think gymnastics is beautiful, u try doing a back walkover / handspring on a 4 inch balance beam!! I mean come on? i do like softball as well but there is no reason to get mad a this amazing sport!

I totally agree! I was watching it earlier and thought it was the most boring thing ever! I like the regular gymnastics but not the rythmic gymnastics.
