  1. I'm getting annoyed with Favre, because for the past five years, all he's talked about is retirement but he never actually retired.  This offseason (when he actually did retire) he decided to come back.  I think he needs to either retire, or play and not talk about it.

  2. If the packers want to win the big game (which is normal for a team to want), let him play!  He is coming off one his greatest seasons.  he has a great team to lead.  if they put rodgers in, he will have a great team, but he is no favre.  common sense greenbay... you want to win.. play favre!  move on next year and dont force a dude to make a life changing decision when he's not ready to make that decision. i am a packer fan since birth, but if favre goes to another team (i wont route for that team) but, i hope they crush greenbay.  its bad but quit dickin the guy around, he had probally one of the biggest impacts on why greenbay stands apart from the rest.

  3. That's the 60 million dollar question. It seems the Packers need to hire a therapist.

  4. The same things being said about Aaron Rodgers were the exact same things said about Brett Favre when he came to Green Bay from Atlanta. Everyone said "How could a guy that's never played (Brett was 3rd string), and threw way too many interceptions replace Don Majkowski?

Turns out that Brett was a good QB after all...and Aaron Rodgers could very well be the next Pack legend. It's too early in his career (even though he's sat for 5 yrs.) to tell. I can say he did look pretty impressive in the game against Dallas, while Brett played more like a rookie until he got hurt.

  5. Aaron Rodger sucks he not good at all.

Brett Favre is the Green Bay Packers

  6. give rodgers a few years, i wont be surprised if he takes the packers to the conf. championship or something like that.

  7. You are crazy if you think Rodgers will wait.  He spent 3 years on the bench.  Put him there for another year and watch him leave.  Farve will retire again next year and the Packers wont have a QB thats ready to play.

Farve forced the Packers to draft all these QB's because he couldn't decide if he wanted to play of retire.  So they drafted Rodgers who they hoped would be ready when Farve left.  Now they got 2 more QB's in this draft probably in case Brett retires and Rodgers gets pissed off a leave.

Farve hasn't played or practiced since last year.  What makes you think he is better?  Because he threw a few passes to some high school kids?

edit - His contract runs out after next year.  Why would he want to stick around playing for a team that lied and said he was the starter only to say sorry our mistake the fans like Brett better so your back on the bench?  I'm pretty sure his NFL goals include being a starter not an NFL clipboard holder.  They also have 4 QB's on the roster so someones probably going to be cut or traded.

  8. i would make aaron my starter if i was coaching the packer even if i finish with a losing season.

no player is bigger than the team.....not even favre.

  9. Favre HAS BEEN a jerk(just had to point it out again). On the other hand where do you get that he is the better QB. Just because he had a career year last year? What about the 3-4 that preceded it? If Rogers has a brain and gets put on the Bench he will be leaving soon. What's one more year? Well he was TOLD he was going to be the starter. He was TOLD it was his team FINALLY. If he has any sense he will leave once his contract is over.

  10. Well, there is one main reason why the Packers are giving the opportunity to Favre in terms of having a competition.  The main reason for the open contest is because they want it to be fair for Rodgers.  What I mean is, Favre retired back in March.  So when the team said they were ready to move on, then they decided to go with Rodgers as their future.  But ever since Favre decided he wanted to play again, it wouldn't be fair to Rodgers to all of a sudden get the back seat to a guy that decided to retire way back in March.  So instead of treating Rodgers unfairly now they both have a chance to prove themselves worthy of starting.  If Favre does better then the job is his, if Rodgers does better than Favre then the job is his.  Its very fair in the situation because they both have an equal chance.  Also look at this way, if Favre was given the "golden boy" treatment and was started ahead of Rodgers after he said he was done, do you know how detrimental it would be for Rodgers?  He would feel as if he will never get his chance as long as Favre is there so he may become disgruntled and want to play elsewhere.  In football you have to be smart about your choices.. otherwise there will be a great price to pay..

  11. Doesnt matter now hes on the jets. He is the biggest jerk. He used to be my hero now i hate him.

  12. Farve has not been a jerk. He was undecided and the Packers wanted an answer so he probaly thought, well its better to retire and come back rather then not retire and decide to hang it up later in camp...therefore i think he did the nicest thing in his and the packers interest

2nd of all the Packers would be idiots not to take back Farve, he's proven that he is one of the best in the history in the game and a proven winner. All rodgers has proven is he can get hurt, much unlike Brett.

If the packers had any intellect they would have taken him back a month and a half ago when Brett first started saying he wanted to play. But now they've dragged on the process and made it worst for everyone

  13. favre is an idiot he should let the younger guy play. favre aint that good of a player

  14. Maybe they are just trying to do what Brett has not done for 4 seasons keep their word. How can anyone call Brett competing against a rookie as much experience as Brett has FAIR. How is that fair to the rookie. Now this morning the news stated they stayed in a meeting yesterday for 5 hours and as of this morning Rodgers is the quarterback for the Packers. Everything is still the same what a circus this is. Take Brett and let Rodgers go this kid deserves better than this he has already been sitting. Or stop holding Brett hostage as he is doing them and let him go to the team he wants to go too. None of these people or being fair to one another. Rodgers the rookie is the only one demonstrating any class through this entire ordeal.  Brett's famous last retirement words (under no circumstances will I ever come back). That lie has created this havoc..

  15. I'm thinking frostbite on the brain

  16. I don't know....but what I do know is they had better be making a decision before I move my boyfriend down to the basement!!!! He is driving me up a wall with all this Farve mess!!!!!!! I think before this is all said and done our "game" room will be changed from Packers to Colts......Yeah for me:)

  17. Favre hasn't been a jerk, he's one of the great guys in pro sports. However, as much as I love him, the fact is, if Aaron Rodgers started the NFC Championship game, the Packers would have probably been in the Superbowl.

  18. NFL teams have always been about who gives the team the best chance to win games...except in this case...I believe the head office had other plans and now that there is a scenario that they hadn't considered, they seem to be acting like a child throwing a temper tantrum.  Favre was within his right to return no matter whether anyone agrees..now the Packers org needs to do the right thing for the team, the organization and the NFL  It is painfully obvious what that is...and now we'll see if they are "man enough" to do it and save some respectability.
