  1. Mileage isn't the most important aspect to pay attention to when you are buying a car for only $2500. You want to know that whatever car you're interested in has had the recommended scheduled maintenance done to it. Also before you buy the vehicle take it to a trusted mechanic and have him check it out to make sure theres nothing seriously wrong with it. Don't expect to much from a car that cheap, the best I would expect is that the car runs for 18 months than its scrap

  2. We've bought high mileage cars and they were fine - did need some work, so expect to have to do some repairs.  Get the VIN number (you can look in the front window on driver's side and see it) and check at www.carfax.com and check out the history of the car.  It's worth the expense.  Then go to www.bluebook.com and enter all the info on the car and see what they suggest is a good selling price for it.  Actually, do it the other way around.  The blue book site is free.  Make sure the tires have some tread on them.

  3. 200,000

  4. 200,000 is average for used cars
