What the name of that plug in wall socket, roache killer?

Question

I have just moved into my new apartment, and discovered i have guests that have extended their stay. I have tried killing the roaches with chemicals but still see them running around mocking me. I wanted to try this device i saw on tv, you plug it in and it chases all pests out of the wall. I'm not sure what its called, so i need you to help.

I agree with Lar--I have some of those things--glad they were a gift 'cause they haven't chased away anything!  I don't have roaches but I DO NOT recommend the plug-in repellers!  Sorry!

most common names I hear them called are "rip off" ,  "waste of money" ,   "worthless"

if you have the German roach  (kitchen roach) that are in the cabinets and appliances use Combat roach gel...easy enough to use and you should get good results, though avoid spraying the bait with an insecticide.  It may take a couple of weeks.
