What the name of the movie from the 80's/early 90's where 2 teens steal a car?

It was made in the late 80's/early 90's. The plot involves 2 kids (about 13). One is black the other is white. They steal a car and hit the road. I don't remember much else except that at the beginning the white kid goes fishing with his dad and gets the birds and the bees speech.
