I never really needed child care.

The positives of pre-school are that it gives the child an introduction to school in general.  These kids already will be able to write and recognize shapes, letters, numbers and colors before they enter kindergarten.  They are also teaching them to spell words and basic algebra.

My son loves to go to school, which I was worried about.  He loves to socialize and make friends.  

Since he is our first child to go to school, it has better prepared us, as a family for when school does start for him.  He has a schedule that he sticks too and that has made us adopt a schedule too.  

The negatives about pre-school are the other kids....lol!!  Our son has picked up quite an attitude since he has begun preschool.  Since he has an extensive vocabulary, his mouth often gets ahead of his brain and gets him into trouble.

I would recommend sending a child to preschool.....just so that they won't be lost when they go to kindergarten.
