  1. Through the voting process, you have AT LEAST had your voice heard.

MOST of the time, the votes follow the popular vote.

  2. Somebody should do something about that, just don't expect your politicos to.

  3. Yeah, the system is bogus.  I think they need to dump the whole electoral college and go strictly by a popular vote.  He (or she) with the most votes wins.  Period, end of story.

  4. Don't you know? The Democrats are smarter than you. You will be allowed to vote ONLY if you vote the way the Democrats feel you should. If you decide to vote for the wrong person, they'll just fix it since they are sure you must have made a mistake.

Friends don't let friends vote Democrat.

  5. I laugh everytime the democrats cry about the 2000 election because they have a system that is set up to do exact what they complain about.

Change the electoral system and we may get a fair vote.

We should all be disenfranchised by the candidates we have to chose from

  6. I agree. Look at Richardson in NM.  He betrayed the voters of his state--the very people who elected him to represent them.  They overwhelmingly chose Clinton, yet this Judas gave his support to BO.  Some think that BO bribed him with the promise of a big political role in Washington.

This is simply not right.  My vote is being nullified by those delegates.  How @#$%^& dare they trash my vote.

The DNC leaders better start honoring their women supporters and quit their sexist "men know best'  anti-women posture. If they don't validate a woman candidate, they'll lose the election.  My female friends and I are fed up with being brushed aside and expected to give in to males who consider themselve superior to women.  It's 2008! Wake up men; women no longer want to be second class citizens.

Not this time we won't.  Looks like we'll be voting for McCain if BO is nominated.

  7. Only democrats do that

  8. "Pledged" Delegates... those determined through the primaries and caucuses... are the ones who will representt he people's votes.

In addition to those, which are the majority of Democratic delegates, the Democratic Party's rules allow for unpledged or "super" delegates.  These are the members of the Democratic National Committee, former Democratic Presidents and Vice Presidents, and Democratic Governors, Senators, and Congressmen.

So, the delegates do not "go the opposite way."  The ones tied to people's votes will vote that way.
