My friend told me that the whole fondation of rock is demonic. I don't think it is. I listen to some rock songs and there's nothing in the song that classifieds it demonic. I always knew death metal was demonic but not rock. Can someone help me out and explain? Thanks =)

  1. Death metal is not demonic. Rock is not demonic. Next time you see your friend, point and laugh at him/her.

  2. Blues?

  3. DEATH METAL IS NOT DEMONIC, NOR IS ROCK.

Your friend needs to reevaluate her priorities.

  4. Rock's foundation is primarily blues. Of course some people don't like the fact that some blues men (Robert Johnson, Tommy Johnson) were said to have sold their soul to the devil in exchange for their talent. I don't believe it though, they did have amazing talent but I don't think through anything like that. Although a few rock musicians (death metal maybe, I dunno) were into odd things (sadly occult), but that doesn't mean a whole entire genre is evil and demonic. People group things together too much "well if that band believes in that, all bands that consider themselves rock must!"

just my 2 cents on the subject, a very confusing one for me

  5. By foundation, if you mean what it needs, rather than origin, than to be rock it needs:

    1 Electric Bass Guitar.

    1 Drum kit.

    1 or more Electric Guitars

    1 or more Singers

    Optionally:

    1 or more Keyboards

1 or more Other various instruments

But the pure base formation of a rock band is a bass guitar, an electric guitar, a drumset, and a guy with a  microphone.
