  1. If you stayed in studio type accommodation it would be cheaper. Or if you tried a backpacker place firstly, they could help you find somewhere or you could look around.

Food is cheaper in supermarkets away from the city but Broadway is in the city just down from Central station (a bus will take you there in 5 minutes). They have large supermakets and discount store (K Mart).

  2. Hello. I went in lived in Sydney a few times and returned back lol but i loved it. For the rent it is about $220 for a 2 bedroom unit and that is a safe area. You could always get cheaper places as well and you could get shared places as well. Food is alot cheaper in bigger places as they have to compete against other shops. Transport is about $30 a month but depends to where you want to go. It is always cheaper to get a monthly pass as it is half the price. I hope that this helps. You could do a search on google and also yahoo if you want to. Please take care and i hope that everything goes well in life for you.

  3. Sydney flats and their prices can be found here: http://www.realestate.com.au/

i can assure you that it will cost you a sight more than $220 a week for a two bedroom unit - even "not so nice" areas like Eastlakes will cost you in the region of $300 per week for a studio or single-bedroom unit.

Depending on where you live and where you work, a travel ten bus bass will cost around $25 per week, an average train fare will cost you about $30 per week. There are over 2000 buses on Sydney streets, so they are the best and easiest way to get around. Food is more expensive in the city itself. Go to a supermarket out of town for best prices...
