  1. none

she should be playing with toys :)

  2. ...a "one" year old...?   there's nothing suitable...  maybe "read" the child a "story" from a Disney collection.

  3. You don't say where you are, but try looking for puppet shows and others specifically aimed at young children.  There are some out there.  Great that you are starting her early.  Check your local professional theatre, it is quite possible that they have a programme of things for young children throughout the summer.

  4. With no offense at all, and realizing that a 1 year old will be in any attention span for about 15 seconds at a time, and not recall the day, 20 years from now, I suggest look for Children's theater productions, local, even those that might be somewhat interactive.

Summer theater is often a time for youth productions, not October, but given that the child won't be 1 for another 4 months, you might want to re-think theater and do something more like a Chucky Cheese, or similar.

    Just my 2 "scents"

  5. No theatre. Take her to the park or the zoo. What ever you do she will love.

  6. Don't take a 1-year-old to the theatre unless it is a specific kids' show.  A short puppet show would be the kind of thing you should be looking for - anything longer than about 20 minutes is too long.  We run kids' shows at the theatre I work at and we don't advise bringing kids under 3 as their 45 minute length is just too much for any younger kids.

  7. theater!!! I c that to be strange!! why not to celebrate in an another way! sorry i know it is not your question but i am eager to now what is the best answer here!

  8. Yeah... taking a one year old to a theater is just rude to the other patrons.

  9. well i would say if she's likely to cry at anything not to take her, people don't like crying babies at the theatre!

and i wouldn't have thought she'd know the difference about what you take her to, she's not going to remember it.

if you want someone for a little kid i always think panto is the way to go as there's not too much complaining about noise

also some theatres in the UK have kid things on so just look at your local cinema, it'll probably be an earlier showing as well
