  1. Dont do something too specific because pree teens are so fickle she will hate it in a few years. Go with something that can grow with her- like a nice shade of purple or a fun green for the walls. A bed spread that  is mature will make her feel grown up and at the same time, like a teen. Go with Stripes or polka dots or something like that. Avoid flowers because people are just picky about that.

  2. I agree with some of the other answers... she will want to change it in just a few years! (I speak from my own experience!) I'd suggest choosing a color that will suit most of her moods, and not going overboard on the decorating... make it versatile.

  3. in my experiance, all of my younger sisters had ended up LOVING pink and green.....and then growing out of it.

I'd go with something that would grow with her, like, teal, black, and white?

    hope i helped! =]

    good luck!

  4. I think you should go with a very simple theme.  Look at, and ask her, what her life and her interests are that she'd like the room to portray about her.  Make sure that the accent pieces can be easily replaced with new, and use wall color(s) that can move easily into the next stage of her young life without having to spend a fortune to re-do the whole thing.  You might consider how Extreme Makeover does their kids rooms based on interests, and then tone it down about 95%.

Don't forget to have her help - the more she has invested in it (time, energy, etc.), the more she'll enjoy it!

  5. get light green on the top part of the walls and seperate it with white mold and then dark green on the bottom. Get pink curtains and rainbow polka dot bedset

  6. go with a music theme.. not tooo girleee and she'll not grow out of it so fast... buy a bunch of old records at a pawn shop and use them as picture frames (the 33 rpms)... get a large piece of cork and criss cross it with ribbons, so she can stick pictures or keepsakes in them...keep the walls kinda neutral, so you can change them easily... if you can sew, sew up music-themed curtains--very easy-- and NEVER use barbie! lol!

oh.. and remember, if you use very dark colors over very light or vice versa, you'll have to prime first...

  7. I would say a becah theme or a city theme!

  8. OK! lol

Do not put a bunch of flowers and butterflies. They will easily get tired of it and want another "More grown-up" room in about a  year lol. (i've had to change my cousins room every year)

Do something like a light shade of purple, and something else soft (yet fun) like green.

Avoid a white bedspread. THey are cute but kids get them dirty fast. Also dont do something like bright YEllow. gets really old. Do like a city nightlife theme maybe purple black and white. that could be fun. Kinda get more modern looking stuff. maybe paper lanterns.

Sorry im like going crazy on you. I want to be a interior designer lol.
