What thickness of plexiglass should I use to replace a window pane?

  1. If it is a regular glazed  wood window ( putty & points) ....no real limit exc for frame depth ...usually 1/8"

    Grooved storm window or door requiring a gasket or spline

    1/8" is usually reqd to  match  original glass thickness


  2. i wouldnt...plex will scratch like you wouldnt believe...

  3. Do not use plexiglass to replace a window glass pane if you want it to perform well.  over time the plexiglass will become cloudy.  Also the heat from the sun will cause the plexi to sag and move which will break the seal which in turn will cause condensation.
