  1. you will need a 2 to 3 mm steamer and that is the best time for swell

  2. I think you will need thicker skin than wetsuit.

Can I suggest a less localized beach. The whole east coast is littered with surf, I'm sure someone with your experience will find a more appropriote break. Maroubra is not known for its warm welcoming friendly locals. These are all people that think their beach is only for them and try and intimidate others (to go with their already huge ego's and BRA tats) out of the water.

Personally never surfed there and most likely never will. They can have their ordinary beachie. Our beach is 100 times less crowded, better waves, more friendly atmosphere and surrounded by trees and not a concrete jungle. Not telling ya where tho.

  3. well you dont need a wet suit at all

i would go with board shorts and a rash gard.

but if you wonna spend the money

    go with a 1mm

i have a 2mm xcel and i use mine in ice water and im nice and warm

you dont want to thick cuz then its harder to move around and thats no go.

if i where you i would go to xcelwetsuits.com

and look up dealers near you try some suits and ask the

guys there what thickness you would need for the area.

    good luck brah
