  1. Peer pressure can make you do things you normally wouldn't do, and it works both ways.  There is negative and positive peer pressure.  An example of negative peer pressure is a group of friends telling you to go ahead and smoke marijuana with them.  An example of positive peer pressure is when a group of friends convince you not to shoplift.

  2. Strictly speaking, nothing. Peer pressure can't MAKE anyone do anything, they always have the choice to say no, but that takes a strength of character that a lot of people (adults too, not just teenagers) don't seem to have. Peer pressure can make it a lot harder to make good decisions or to even see what they are.

What 'everybody does' can be a very seductive argument, if 'everybody' does it then it can't really be bad/stupid/dangerous, can it?

  3. smoking, s*x, drugs, stealing, cheating, all sorts of these kind of things and more...

    hope that helps

p.s. you seem to have a lot of questions involving peer pressure... are you experiencing any right now? I was just wondering if there was a reason why you were asking...

  4. None.  unless you give the pressure  the power.  As far as that goes, different peer groups pressure differently, some press for negative thoughts and actions and others press for possitive thoughts and actions.  Consider, if you will, that if you are a part of a peer group then you have some influence in the pressure that group exerts.

  5. they can't make you do anything that your not willing to do

  6. Nothing if you're smart and not socially programmed and peer dependent.

  7. Smoking, s*x, Drug use, Skipping school, Faking sick, Cheating, Stealing, and things of those sorts.
