  1. Welll done pompal '08!!!

I live in Arroyo, you seem to know more about the place than I do, a very good answer , from this the writer should have a lovely stay in Benalmadena and enjoy all it has to offer!

  2. I've been going there with my two kids for 10 years now.we love for family holidays.we,vie seen the croc park, tivolli, water park, caves at nerja, zoo fuengirola,Gibraltar for the day, torremolinos has fantastic night life, beaches are beautiful, its not far from malaga there is plenty entertainment day and night if you look for it.there is a couple of English written papers that tell you where to go for entertainment the tourist information is right beside the chemist and McDonald's.they are very helpful.enjoy yourselves its a very nice place to go and very central to every place else.

  3. Best thing is to contact the local turist office after arrival and tell the people there what you would like to do. They got more suggestions for you than you can imagine.

  4. Count the days to coming home, when I went I found it totally boring, glad to leave.

  5. Where to start?  There is more than enough to occupy yourselves in 5 days, without ever leaving Benalmadena/Arroyo.   You have the beach, of course, with the lovely promenade, stretching the length of the resort, with it's bars, restaurants and gift shops.   At one end you have the "jewel in the crown", the Puerto Marina, with it's classy shops, boats, restaurants, clubs, bars, and various trips out to sea.   Also in the Marina you have a Sealife Centre.   At the other end of the promenade, and just up from the "windmill roundabout" you will find another gem, Paloma Park.   Here you will find a large lake, fountain, animal enclosure, cactus park, a couple of cafe/bars and birds and animals running free.   On Wednesday's there is a market at the top end of the park and, on Friday's, there is a larger market in Arroyo, near to Tivoli World.   Tivoli is a theme park with rides, attractions and live shows.   Also here, you will see the cable car to the top of Mount Calamorro.   If you don't mind heights, it's well worth going up for the views & also for the collection of birds of prey, which also give displays.  There are eagles, falcons, vultures, eagle owls and many more.    Arroyo is more the commercial centre with many shops, and a nice Spanish feel to it.   An "orange" bus and a land train run between Arroyo and the Marina regularly throughout the day, in addition to the normal bus services which are cheap and frequent.   Any local journey costs about 1.20 euros.   Arroyo also has a train station, with the half hourly service running between Malaga and Fuengirola.

If you like entertainment, in the evening, Buzby's, El Elefante, Bonanza, & Bar Eldorado among others have good live acts every night.   Bunny's, where booking is advised, has drag entertainment and is very popular.

I better stop, but as you may have guessed I'm a great fan of Benalmadena.   For more information on a very good site have a look at the link below.

    Have a lovely time.
