  1. Living in a clean, safe, polite, and amazingly scenic place.

Being able to enjoy our changing weather seasons.  Knowing that we , as a nation , are respected and envied around the world, for our way of life and our  cultural achievements.

Seeing new comers to our country succeed and prosper.

Watching our kids grow up and become  good adults, and solid  citizens of Canada.

Hearing the  honking sounds of the Canada geese flying south in the fall , and the feeling of the leaves under our feet as we walk thru the woods in October. The crunch of new fallen snow, in the early morning in January. The smell of the first flowers in the spring, pushing up thru the snow.

Saturday night at the stock car races, and Sunday fishing at the lake

The sounds of a summer thunder storm, and the smell of freshly cut hay.

Skating on new ice, and the  hisssing sound of the  steel blades of the ice sail boat  as it  crosses the frozen bay at 80 mph.

Cheering for the home town team.

Watching " Hockey Night In Canada  " on the CBC, on a Saturday night in the winter  .

Telling people from away about the "Northern Lights ".

Getting off the plane back in Canada, and being so very  glad to be home, again  .

Getting  a big lump in my throat on Remberance Day, as I watch all the Veterans at the  War Memorial, saluting our past heros.

Canada is not just  a  great place, it is a state of mind.

    Jim B. Toronto.

  2. You really can not say, I am Canadian, and the majority of the people like sports, men like hockey and that sort of stuff. Tho because it is such a environmentally diverse country( and culturally) from all the immigrants you really can not tell. I would recommend just finding out were the person lives and what his or her background is, and going from thier.

  3. -maple syrup (and I mean REAL maple syrup, none of that aunt jemimah c**p)

    -hockey

    -beer

-poking fun at our own idiosyncrasies

-being mentioned in non-Canadian media (film, TV shows, etc...you'd be surprised at how excited we get at this)

    -Tim Horton's

-a fabulous dish called poutine (fries, gravy, and cheese curds)

If I think of more I'll add them.

Though as the guy above me said, Canada is very culturally diverse and it varies from person to person.  This list is pretty stereotypically Canadian, but then again, almost all of my Canadian friends would agree with at least 5 of the points above.

  4. Bacon

    Beaver-tail (on Fridays)

    Moose

    Poteen

    Deanna Durben, eh?

  5. Family and friends

    Canada

    Hockey

    Beer

    Fishing

    Hunting

    Crown Royal

    Complain about the weather.

This list will not be for all of us ,but does for the people i know.
