  1. Depends

Are you going as part of vet school experience or as a volunteer or as a co-op student from high school

If its from a vet school then you are most likely going to be doing this that a "normal" vet would do in this clinic...which could be surgery giving medication, performing a physical exam etc.

If its as a volunteer then you may be just watching things like surgery and doing things like restraining, clipping nails, monitering, cleaning etc

If you are a co-op student then again you may be doing things similar to what a volunteer would be doing.

Each clinic is also different on what they allow people to do and insurance can play a big role as well especially when it come sto handling animals, giving medication and using an x-ray machine.

  2. At the vets? How many are you wanting to work for?

  3. Work experience in a Vet Surgery. To start with plenty of cleaning, answering phones, bathing dogs, leaning up wee and p**p. We all started at the bottom but loved every minute of it. Good luck and I hope you enjoy it. Even Vet Nursing/Assistant is a wonderful career. Look, watch and listen is the best advice I can give you. to get more experience offer yourself as a volunteer in the Animal Shelters.
