  1. The only way you will find out what sort of work that you can do in the local childrens hospital is to wander down and talk to those doing the job. I found that I was mostly portering, and on the odd occassion doing the meals runs to the beds to assist the canteens staff. I have read books, pushed wheelchairs, talked, cleaned, and the list goes on. Being male, I was somewhat restricted, for obvious reasons to working under supervision in the ladies and girls departments, but all the work was enjoyable and I would do it again if I was younger.

ALL volunteering can be fun and gives you a good feeling

  2. like read the kids stories, play with them, ya know just like keep em company

  3. it all depends on what section u work in.u may transport kids to different area 4 tests, some places u can just read and interact with them to help keep their mind of the fact they r at the hospital in the first place.have fun and enjoy the experience.the kids will thank u 4 it along with the parents if they cant be there all day with them
