  1. I keep everything, because I have problems. hehe

    At least it's not Sunday night when your looking for things to do Mrs Rockmum ;)

    Here are some of my favourites,

    -> Defiantly the Grass Heads. My kids still water theirs.

    -> Get some old cardboard boxes, and cut them into funny shapes, and make picture frames. We have done that for Fathers Day. I even got some Gold & Silver spray paint to make pretty. They used pasta and glue to make them. Look really good.

    -> Paper Mache Balloons. MY kids loved this, it was really messy, and took 2 sessions to finish, but they look so cool.

    -> Made Animal Masks

    .-> Pot pourri

    -> Have you still got the baby food jars? You could make them into a Christmas Tree for an Christmas calendar

    -> Old Cordial bottles, fill with some food colouring, oil, and water, and make mini lava lamps.

    My kids make heaps. WE are making money boxes at the moment, they love it.

  2. I keep just about everything my daughter makes at her preschool!! Some parents throw everything out, others keep everything. She painted a small flower pot for mother's day that I have in the kitchen (it came with a plant in it, but that died!) That's something I'll keep out, most things I keep in an under-bed box.

    My son is about to start preschool this year, so I'll have twice as much to keep!

  3. My daughter has "coloured" three pictures. She 17 months old, but even those scribbles are special to us. She's made one for Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa.

    For ideas? I remember a Baby and Me program I went to where we made folding picture albums. The paper was folded a certain way and hard coloured cardboard was placed overtop on each end. Then we decorated them. They looked really nice, but I have never put pictures in it.

    I will say that our old playgroup leader used to try and set up certain crafts for the day and the kids never really participated. They preferred to play. Our new one opens up the craft cupboard for the kids and the kids tend to make their way there if they wish to and make whatever they want. It's very hard to get toddlers and preschoolers to follow instructions for a craft or game, so letting them be creative and make whatever they have on their mind is best.
