Morning striped Tiger

Defeats the Night

Panther...

Deadly combat

While we slept,

Dreaming growls.

Waking, walking

Blood dew.

Mockingbirds silent.

Crows flock fields

Of ravaged weeds...

Do they seek....

Breakfast dreams

Or red realities?

Trees will not speak.

No barks.

None tell...

All know

'Changing of the Guards'

True

Nature.

  1. And I always thought you were so literal!  You mean I have to start to look for metaphors?  lol  Good one.

  2. I like it, but I'd drop all the ellipses, and maybe the last stanza--which tries to tie it up a bit, I think. I'd like it to end on "all know" which is pretty strong.

  3. For many its just another day, for a poet its a battle between the forces of night (panther) and forces of morning (striped tiger) , who wins rules (change the guards). That is nature all right as perceived by a poet. I like it!!

  4. Loved it  although lots of bloodshed here, guess I will skip the tomato juice this morning!  Those nasty trolls were afraid to come out and do their nasty deed with those guys around!  Oh did you check, they might have got one?  LOL  Cheers!!

  5. Finally one about the big kitties. We're so cute when we're feisty. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

  6. ummm...i dont get the meaning of it

  7. yes it is great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
