Whether it be a mere notion of the mind - Or a matter all the more sinister for being unknown?

How it is possible to exist - nay not in one time and one world - but in many - or none

I emplore your wisdom on this?

  1. I think 'time', per-se, is of the earth...only??...& my theory of a 'timeslip' is that it's possible that ALL time is occurring simultaneously, that our souls are actually fractured & live many different 'lives' at once (not necessarily all earthly lives) & that our soul's fractures are subconsciously/psychically very connected. I often wonder if that's what "deja vu" is...being momentarily conscious of 2 (or more) of these 'places' at once.

And if what we call reincarnation is actually experiences our soul's different fractures are having NOW??

This last theory was compounded by a past life regression experience I had (I've had many regression sessions btw, this was just one) where the time sequence actually overlapped my current lifetime. I've only come across 1 lifetime so far that did that & it could very well have been an error in my interpretation but I do remember emphasising that overlap & that I was very surprised by it!

    Very thought provoking subject(s) none-the-less!

    EDIT:

Interesting article, Mr. P! So many possibilities to ponder :)  Another (too obvious?) possibility is they could've witnessed a residual haunting. May have been a playback the men were seeing, of her & child just b4 crashing & dying? One thing that makes that theory ify is the fact that she seemed to see the men & interact with them. That typically doesn't happen with playbacks.

    EDIT:

Found this (scroll down to 'Residual Hauntings or Recordings'):

Mr P... not sure what you are asking on this..Time slips come to my mind that you live more than one life. I always believed in reincarnation. whether in this world that we know now but another world. I think one dies they shall exist through eternity.. NOt in the life form that they were at one time.. but another form. It might be an animal.. bird ...etc.. or a tree..I have always felt one of my parent came back as a hawk..Dont ask me why. But I see them sitting on  a electrical line and I stare .. I have been doing this for years as i use to ride with hubby on the road. All these different states we were in there was one lone hawk looking n my direction. And i felt a presence of them. I dont have a lot of wisdom but alot of thoughts ..Kitty

  3. Methinks timeslips art the stuff of fantasy.

  4. What thinkest I of timeslips?

That nothing, will ever be the same.

A more solipsistic answer I could give not.

If thou couldst define what time actually is, as opposed to the notion that it even exists, then perhaps any answer I could give would be relevant.

In Relativity, Time is a part of Space, Space/Time it is referred to.  The faster one goes, the more time slows down.

But to be able to explain Relativity fully, one would need to be able to explain that time is not a dimension per ce, but that it is part and parcel of the existence.

Their would be a need to for one to imagine that there is more than one dimension of time.

  5. Paralell universes? Alien abductions? Reincarnation? Punch Clocks? The bestest of luck to thee!

  6. Thou soundest like snagglepuss.

  7. Time doesn't exist. Time was actually invented by the Ancient Egyptians...from 60 seconds to 1 minute, 60 minutes to 1 hour, etc. It was invented to follow the cycles in a day and in a season.

So, you could actually say that Timeslips are a man-made creation. We can have wormholes existing between dimensions, thus events that (seemed) to have happened in our past and future have occurred...But actual time - does not exist. With the invention of time - humans have continually confused themselves with the notion that our Earth follows our time? How? Time is just a measure of the emptiness (the space) in our lives  - it is a word and a measurement - and thus humans have placed so much emphasis on it that they need it in order to verify their existence!

Now we got that cleared up...An answer for your question: Existence is cyclical; and third dimensional existence occurs in layers - wavelengths of light, vibrating to the various harmonious frequencies of the universe...Sometimes though; frequencies (that can be disrupted by various human thought) can disrupt this flow and open wormholes between these layers - in spaces between these layers...And enter into a plane of existence that differs from the previous plane of existence.

  8. Timeslips are fairly common. The people who will admit to them are rare. Don't want to be thought of as 'weird'.

I've been there myself, though I do believe it is a part of both...mind and a real fluctuation in time. The mind goes along with fluctuations to maintain its hold on its own reality...if it wouldn't...if the mind would fight this....I feel sorry for that person!
