  1. it means that if we love our self then only we can love others and if we do not love anyone still we love ourself so our first and last love is self love

  2. it means that there is no one more faithful to oneself than one to oneself... before ever falling in love with some one or just giving oneself to some one else; it is recommendable to never forget our own being. we should not forget ourselves by just directing all our love and affection to the loved one(s)..but it should not mean that we start to think and have the world revolve around ourselves only. directly or indirectly in the little things we do; we do them as a way to upgrade ourselves so that these are motivated by self-love... and failure to love oneself may prove to be fatal since many a times we are faced with situations where we can rely on no one but ourselves. for me, this thought ought to have been " our first and last love should be .. self-love".

Note however that selfless love (that is loving others at the detriment of oneself) is far from being the ideal love. yet, selfish love as well is not recommended. the just milieu has to be struck in between (a nice poem about selfless and selfish love is The Clod and the Pebble by William Blake in his Songs of Innocence and Experience).

  3. everything comes down to loving oneself

  4. In a nut shell, love yourself before anybody else.

  5. In other words, we are worthy of love even if we are not perfect. It is the strength to see our short comings and love ourselves enough to know that we can learn and grow and not to give up on ourselves because we are not perfect.

Self love is the ability to hold onto our good qualities and strengths even when we are feeling bad about ourselves or something we have done.  It is feeling good about who we are on the inside, so that approval and love does not have to come from the outside before we can love ourselves.

  6. No one can love you like you love yourself.

  7. all living things are instinctically SELFISH.

we help or love others due to certain mortal reasons. You can call them greeds, feelings or anything else.

When point of no return comes, every one turns to his/her self.
