    That they do not lose energy.

    That they are not affected by temperature ( not sure about that last one )


  2. The three main assumptions, in a nutshell are:

    all collisions are elastic, whether between gas molecules or gas molecules and container walls

    the volume occupied by the gas molecules is small compared to the volume of the container

    the average kinetic energy of the gas molecules is a function of temperature only
