  1. i am in his class too but i wasnt there that day so i have no ideas for this question.. all i found was it is unconventional..


  2. not sure if these are sociological

    -the person feels interrupted

    -the person already knows who is calling

    -the person does not with to reveal anything until he/she knows who is calling

  3. Sometimes i do that, wait for them to say something and then pretend that it was in fact I that called the person who called me........

    PS....sounds like someone's cheating on their homework...LOL

  4. it's a violation of a norm, and you could judge its severity based on the person's response.

  5. By not saying 'hello,' you're committing a breach of a norm (as someone stated here.) You're always suppose to say something when someone called you. It's just bizarre if you don't. I'd tell you more but I too, have the same exam as you ;-)

    I searched this exact phrase on the Internet looking for an answer. Then when I saw your question and the responses, it just 'clicked.'

    Knowing Prof. Manzo (the coolest guy ever!,) he's probably doing the search himself, just to be curious.
