i would say sometime before 12 cause that is when i gets bust and eat before going

i think they open at 10, so leave at 6ish.

depends on what time you want to arrive. if you want to get there at noon, then  leave 8 am. if you get stressed from driving like i do then i find a deal for a hotel and get there the night before  and wake refreshed for the opening. if 6 flags is in a different state stop at the info center just inside the border and ask them for deals. we stayed at a lovely german style hotel with a pool (2 of us) for $35 a night. and the best part was they transported us across the street and through the parking lot to the enterance. we called exhausted that night for a pick up and returned to the hotel. kid still talks about the hotel.
