Depends on their prey and when it is most abundant.  Coyotes are very adaptable.  Typically they come out at dusk and return to their den at dawn.  However, depending on where they live and what prey is available, and when... they may need to change their hunting habits.  They do not hibernate, so dusk to dawn would apply year-round.
