  1. Depends where you live.  Usually October- November

The first answer is incorrect.  If we waited to harvest our corn until november to eat, it would taste terrible.  Sweet corn is harvested in June-July.  We wait until Oct / November to harvest the other corn because it has to dry first and it is cheaper to let it dry on the ear as opposed to spend money for heat to dry it.

  2. This is so entirely dependant on where you live.  I live in Idaho, right in the very heart of potato country.  Some corn is also grown around here.  For this part of Idaho, corn was already harvested at the end of September, begining of October.

We have a very short growing season of a scant 90 days.  Most corn is grown in areas that allow 120 days of growing season.

We already have snow on the ground.  There is no firm answer to your question. When corn (or any other crop) is harvested entirely depends on what PLANT ZONE the crops are being grow in.  We are zone 4, borderline 3.

  3. Here in SE South Dakota, we combine corn in about the middle of October through part of November.  Sorry but it is not true that the person said that you need to combine before it frosts, we had a hard frost this weekend and all it will do is kill the plants that aren't already dead and then things will probably dry down.  Good luck on whatever you needed this information for!!!

  4. in the fall is what time most crops are harvest. Typically November, that's where we get Thanksgiving from, because we give thanks for a successful harvest
