  1. It would depend on how far you have to travel to get there, but usually at a GP meeting they start arriving around 4 hrs before the start of the first race. many arrive on thursday for the race on sunday, great atmosphere around the camp sites at night, and then there is practice and quallifying. great weekend. whatever you do do it early... you have no idea of the traffic in and out of the track.

  2. i usualy leave about 8.or sometimes you can camp there at the track

  3. If you know someone who is going to be racing ask them what is stated on the supplementary regulations as to start time.  I know where I am sign in is usually from 7am to 8am in the morning and racing doesn't start till after 9am depending on the event as some places have noise regulations.

If you don't know anyone who is going then look up the event on the web and look for the entry forms and then you can see what time it is scheduled to start.  If it is a big event just allow an extra hour in case of bad traffic then if early you can just take a book to read.

If you know what time it starts then perhaps state what race meet it is so others who may be going to this meet can answer as otherwise it is a very broad topic.

But perhaps just allow that extra hour so you don't get caught out and take that book.

  4. Well I'm off to Brands Hatch this Sunday for the opening round of British Superbikes. This circuit is only about 30 miles from me but we'll leave home around 7:30am (I like to be one of the first there).

We like to make a whole day of the event from walking around the track, check out the pits and get some photos and hopefully some autographs.

Then of course there's all the stalls where we usually spend tons of cash (usually on the kids).

I hope your day is as exciting for you as it is for me.
