  2. It depends on the actual Tube Line and the location of the depots in relation to the travel-desire-lines at that time of day.

    In general terms, most timetables start operation about 5am. But this means that some trains have started service from outer depots at about 4.30am.

    But, prior to that, on certain sections of line, there would have been staff trains operated. These tend to start about 4am, but are almost entirely confined to the outer suburbs.

    Sunday timetables tend to start about 2 hours later on all lines except the Piccadilly (where there are earlier trains serving Heathrow)

  3. It depends on the line and location. First London-bound trains from the ends of the lines tend to be around 04:30hrs, arriving in central London around 05:30hrs. Most Tube stations open ten minutes before their first train is due.
