  1. I wake up at about 8 or 9 in the morning. The rest of my family except me either works full time or goes to a public school, so family vacations are pretty rare. Maybe 3 weekend trips a year. My grandparents often (once every month or two) go to Las Vegas (about 10 hours from my house) to visit other family and I tag along just about every other time, so I do get quite a few vacations.

  2. well the first one is always diff sometimes 7:30am or 2pm it all depends on how much sleep i get and if i have problems getting to sleep.

Bonus: Well i do high school on the web so i can go on vacation anytime i want as long as a have a comp and internet... I've only went on 2 vacations though but i dont go on many

  3. The 5yo and the 20 month old are up around 7 am so I'm up shortly there after.

I can't wait until they learn to sleep in!

Vacations we try for once a year

  4. I'm the mom and I wake up at 5 AM.  Run the public school bus route and return home at 8 AM.   The student, my son, gets up at 7:30 and should be ready for school at 8.   We usually have family time for about 15 minutes and start work around 8:15.

He schools until 10:30 with me overseeing.  I leave for public school cafeteria around 10:30 and leave a list of chores and school assignments.   I get home at 4 from afternoon bus route and we have family time, check school work, read, watch video lectures,  basketball practice, church, time with friends,  tv, internet, etc.   I go to bed at 9.  He usually stays up until 11.

We went on a vacation 5 years ago.  We plan on going on one this summer.   He goes to camp every summer  for 2 weeks.   He also spends lots of time in summer with friends who have swimming pools.

  5. I usually get up at 8am. Some of my family gets up at 7am, but the 12yo gets up at 9am.

We go on a big family vacation once a year, two weeks somewhere new. We usually go twice a year to a theme park, and then every two or three months travel around the country to visit family.

  6. The time differs depending on the day of the week, and the activities of the previous evening, and time that we went to bed.

Due to work schedules, and chores our house normally gets busy between 5:00 AM and 8:30 AM, but not everyone wakes at the same time.

After this we take a break, and start the day around 10:00 AM until ?

Vacations, well that depends, we like extra day's off spread over the whole year, and take these when we need them; this often gives us long weekends, and time for short breaks, camps, retreats, and such.

Long road trips are less frequent because of the distances we would have to travel, every trip takes about 3 to 4 day's one way so that happens about every three years or so.

  7. I am a homeschooled high school senior.

I get up around 7:30 in the morning to get ready for the classes I take at the university every weekday. Later in the afternoon, I come home and do both my homework and my "homeschool work". =)

My family and I usually take vacations once or twice a year, but we also take a lot of long weekends. When I go on vacations now depends on my college's schedule.

  8. I wake up at 6am to go feed my .  We start school around 8am.  I go on vacations 1 - 2 times a year for a full week and 5+ weekend vacations every year.

  9. 8 or 9 in the morning. But it varies.

If by vacation you mean how often do you leave your home for an extended period of time (at the very least, a weekend) to do something you enjoy... Well, I go out of town to stay with my boyfriend and his family somewhere between every month and every three months, but now that he's out of school (graduated early) we see eachother A LOT more often. I usually stay for about a week, maybe more, and I bring a little bit of school work to do with me just so I don't fall too far behind. I also go on trips to other states to visit friends, relatives, go to conventions (sci-fi, NFB, ATIA, etc) frequently enough (though mostly durring summer), and I was a member of the Student Ambassador program for a while and went to England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland all in one summer. My most frequent vacations though are to visit boyfriend and college friends in distant parts of the state, and on these trips my parents do not acompany me.

  10. My kids (7 and 10) are usually up between 6:30 and 7. And no, I don't make them get up that early, they are just up that early. :) It doesn't matter which day of the week!

By "go on vacation" do you mean actually go away on a vacation or get a break from school work? We go away once a year in the summer. But we do take spring break and 2 weeks off at Christmas (although they ALWAYS end up pulling out some sort of work on their own) and the usual holidays and just individual days here and there where we just really need a good break.

  11. well, i get woken up at 7:30 AM (but we live in the country).

We normally go on vacation in April or so so that all the public school kids are still in school and aren't everywhere making everything busy and long lines. Then I goto my grandma's for 2 or 3 weeks when all the public school kids get out. the only downside is that people are constantly asking "Why aren't you in school?" lol

  12. We get up between 7-8am so I can go workout at the gym before we start our schooling.

Vacations?  HAHAHA.  I guess if you count driving crosscountry to another Army post.  Then 1x year.

  13. Today my daughter got up at 7am, yesterday she slept until 9am. It depends on what we have to get done that day and when we went to bed the night before.

We take similar vacations to the public schools.

  14. We usually had to be up by seven and starting school by eight.  The hour in between was for showers, breakfast, cleaning bedrooms, and getting things ready for the day.  Now that my brother and I are in college our little sister has it easy.  She usually gets up around eight and starts school by nine.

We went on a ton of one-three day trips, but not very many vacations where we were gone for longer than that.  We were always so busy with sports, music, jobs, and other things it was hard to schedule family time away from our house.

  15. whatever time i want to. depends on how i feel and what mood my mom is in. 1-2 times a year. the 30 field trips don't count.

  16. We usually get up and start school about 9.  If we need to get more done, then we start about 8, but that doesn't happen very often, thank goodness!

We usually go on an actual vacation once each year, but the kids did go to 3 summer camps last year, plus we go out of town a whooole lot.  We happen to live near large cities that make day trips easy; before we lived near large cities, we'd have weekend vacations a few times each year.

  17. We get up about 9am.

We take 1 big vacation(5 to 7 days) or 3 to 4 small vacations( 2 to 3 days) a year.

  18. My homeschooling kids (5, 8 and 11) get up between 7:30 and 8:30am. We start school around 10am.

The kids do school about 4 days a week nearly year round. They take 3 weeks off in Dec. and 3 or 4 weeks off in the summer.

  19. I homeschool my twin 6 year old daughters.

We are up at 7. They eat breakfast and I workout til' about 8 15. My daycare kids show up between 8:30 and 8:45...so I rush in the shower.....by 9 we are sitting at the table ready to learn some science. Then....I send my 6 year olds to the computer...for a little time4learning....perfect for LA and Math. They continue their studies online til 11:15.....lunch at 11:30....nap from noon to til about 1:30 or 2 and then we have snack and talk over the material covered that day..sneaking in a bit more math....

Sometimes the twins like to jump back on the computer for more LA after the daycare kids go home at 5....dinner at 7:30....

we take mini vacations 3 or 4 times a year....and one big vacation yearly. On the weekends we take field trips...and sometimes I drag all of the daycare kids and mine to a farm for a little fun :)      the twins are also in a cheerleading class as well as gymnastics and karate. :)

  20. im not a homeschooler, but i homeschool my 7 yr old son, who naturally wakes up at 10am, which is fine by me.... a refreshed and well slept child learns a great deal more than when being dragged out of bed at 7am and sat at a desk at 9.45am, still half asleep! ....
