Question:

What time does UPS deliver?

Somewhere at 8:00 am today my package was in an arrival scan and I was wondering if, first of all, it will arrive today, then, second, what time it will come. Today is not the scheduled delivery date but I was just hoping it would come since it was last reported 9 miles away.

  1. I find that when they post an arrival date, it usually does arrive that day.

Also, it has been my experience in IL, that UPS does not deliver on Saturdays.

Hope you get your package soon!

  2. The arrival notice means it arrived at the most recent facility in the delivery process.  Since it's only 9 miles away, it's likely your package will deliver from there.  Unfortunately, the arrived status means  it arrived at the facility at 8 am.  Your delivery truck was probably loaded and on its way by the time your package arrived.  Only when your package's status has changed to "out for delivery" can you expect to receive it.  I'd expect to receive it Monday.

Having said that, it's possible you could call the UPS Station and request a desk pickup.  They'll usually comply, since it's one less package they'll have to deliver Monday and they still got paid.  Try calling 1-800-PICK-UPS.
