ARGENTINA retained their gold medal in the Olympic Games men's football as they beat NIGERIA 1-0 in the final of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games on Saturday, 23 August 2008 at the National Stadium @ Bird's Nest, Beijing, China PR. the only goal of the match was scored by Angel Di Maria in the 58th minute to claim back to back gold medals for ARGENTINA. NIGERIA won the silver medal & BRAZIL won the bronze medal with a 3-0 victory over BELGIUM in the bronze medal match which was played on Friday, 22 August 2008.
