What time is good to cross from USA to Canada via I5?

I am traveling to Vancouver, Canada from Seattle tomorrow morning. What is a good time to reach the border? I am traveling with my family (a 1 yr old and a 4 yr old) and would like to avoid long lines.

early morning or late night. it might be crowded at all times though considering it's going to be a holiday weekend... but my husband and i, together with our 4 month old baby, are driving up tomorrow evening as well.

you might want to try lynden if peace arch and pacific crossing is crowded. you can always check the wsdot website for the border lines wait times.
