where exactly does "in Asia" mean?

Different places in Asia have different timings.

For example when its 3:55in New York it is 16:55in Beijing, 15:55 in Jakarta,14:55in Dhaka, 12:55in Abu Dhabi etc. Even different places in America has different timings.

Too many time zones to account for.

All countries time are based on Coordinated Universal Time or UTC. They can be + or - the UTC depending on the time zone the cities of each countries are in.

Check this site:

Type in the city of the country you want and you can see what time they are at now and what the time difference from UTC it use for that time zone.

Then type in a city in America and you can do the math.

You're failing to take into account the large number of different time zones involved.  China alone has five of them.  That leaves your question too vague.
