  1. The large part of North Dakota is on the Central Standard Time. So, just add 1 hour to convert it to EST. Therefore, it would be 10:00 AM in New York.

    However, if you live in southwest North Dakota, which is on Mountain Standard Time, you add 2 hours and get 11:00 AM.


  2. North Dakota is in the Central Time Zone (except for the SW corner of the state, in Mountain Time) of the USA, and New York is in the Eastern Time Zone.

    9am in North Dakota is 10am in NY.  9am in Mountain Time is 11am in NY.

  3. Most of North Dakota is in the Central Time zone so that would make it 10:00AM in New York.  

    However, much of the area southwest of the Missouri River is in the Mountain Time zone including Dickinson, so for that area if it is 9:00AM, then it would be 11:00AM in New York.
