I think anytime is ok really, but I guess it depends on how long you're staying for. Sep-Nov if you're staying for a month or 2 but if you're staying a long time it doesn't matter as long as you don't arrive at Tet cos it'll be well hectic and you'll struggle to get hotels, etc.

Considering the flight will be on jumbo jets and Vietnam is in a tropical region, weather has little impact on when the best time to fly is to avoid bad weather flying. It might best to avoid typhoon season, which runs from November to about March, to avoid delays when a typhoon hits Vietnam.

I prefer to fly out on a weekday night so the flight is less crowded and I can immediately go to sleep to avoid getting jet lag when I get to Vietnam. I would prefer the same flying out of Vietnam, but most all outgoing flights for LAX leave in the middle of the day.

I live in the Massachusetts. Any time the temperature starts to drop is a good time to fly to Vietnam. I usually go from mid October to mid December. The weather is perfect.

i prefer sept- nov. you get rain sometimes but only once in a while.depending where you are and beside i like rain.. its not too hot but you can still go swimming and its the best time for traveling around the country [ as opposed to "TET" jan /feb when there are too mant visitors]... i also preffer ariving at night... i just like the night...
