What time is tide time?

for tomorrow in alaska? i heard there were some big waves over there.

I'm a florida surfer, I'm not going to alaska no matter what lol, you have fun there... I'm not sure when the tide is though, best time to surf anywhere is when low tide is moving to high...

First off, Alaska gets pretty good surf, especially in Yakutut.  Second, the surf is not always best on incoming tide.  Every break is different, some work best on high some work best on low. h**l, I surf beach beaks all the time and they vary from week to week when they work best depending upon the depth of the sand bar.

For the actual answer you can pull up tide tables for pretty much anywhere in the US from NOAA's website.  As much fishing as you have up there there is sure to be a tide table for wherever your are planning to surf.

Calm down man,  Da Surf Man didn't "diss" Alaska.  He just said he wouldn't surf there.  A lot of people wouldn't because of the cold water!  Come on!  Think before you get mad for no reason!

Now, hot shot, Magicseaweed.com has tide charts for everywhere.  Just put in your location and a surf forecast along with tides should show up.
