What time of day or tide is best to check out Maverick's (California) while the swell is up this week?

I'd guess early morning <7:00am.  Dawn patrol usually produces cleanest conditions all across the west coast.  Bring binoculars!

early morning, for sure. but you better hurry because they are trying to  pass a bill to close maverick's to all surfers.  i read this in the paper last weekend.
