What time of the day does a payment clear?

What time in the day would a payment such as income support clear? As I'm pretty sure its either midnight or 9am.. Anyone know which?

like everyone else said depends on the bank.  But know this... banks will ALWAYS post your credits before debits which are available on the same business day.

Ask at your bank which time they use.

That depends on your particular bank. You'd have to check with them.
