  1. Bob Dylan was most popular in the 60's.... his songs were made made famous by many popular bands of the 1960's.... Like The Byrds who had a great hit with Mr. Tamborine Man -----Peter, Paul & Mary--a folk rock group who had a huge hit with the Bob Dylan classic--Blowin in the Wind... and his song  The Times they are a Changing--became a kind of anthem for the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's....


  2. The late '60's - he was introduced as a folk singer at Monterey Pops by Joan Baez, then his girlfriend.  by the next year, his style had totally changed, and his career hit the charts.  That was around '67-'68.
