I am off to Florida in 2 weeks time and while there I am booked to go to discovery cove and swim with the dolphins! I know that check in is at 8 but should I get there earlier than that as I am hoping to get my swim in the morning so I'm not clock watching the rest of the day. What time would you advise I try to get there for?

  1. Hiya,

I swam with dolphins at Discovery Cove a couple of years ago,

You cannot choose the time for your swim, they choose it for you, as it is not normally just your family in the group, and they have to arrange numbers.

get there just before 8 to get the front of the queue, so you can get a nice sun lounger in a cabbana, but its not busy, so there will be enough.

    Hope this helps,

    Have a great time.

  2. Hey I went to Discovery Cove last year and swam with the cutest dolphin Diego. We arrived at 7:30am and managed to get a morning swim at 11:00am. We were lucky - because you can't pick what time you swim with the dolphins. It is best if you swim in the morning because thunderstorms break out in the afternoon and you can't go in the water at all. Plus you don't get any money back for not swimming with the dolphins or another day to come back and do it. You could ask when you check in if it's possible to get a morning swim, they may let you they may not. It kinda depends who you get at the desk, how busy they are and what the weather for that day is suppose to be like. Good luck and enjoy it. I know you'll love it, I did.

  3. Check in at at 8.  The resort really opens up at 9 am.  So if you arrive at 8 am  you will be fine!

The earlier you arrive or the closer to 8 you arrive, the earlier in the day your Dolphin Swim will be!

I love Discovery Cove, and when you go, you need to make sure you spend as much time in that beautiful resort as you possibly can!  You can read more on Discovery Cove at http://www.orlandofuntickets.com/Discove...

    Have fun!

  4. maybe a at least 30 minutes or a little less, big attractions always have a lot going on around them, also you could call them and get their advice.
