Question:

What time should i go to sleep at during the school year?

I am going into middle school this year and I really want to do well in school so that i get good grades, period 1 starts at 7:05-7:46 but i don't think that period counts only if u do like early band or something which i do not do luckily, 2nd period is at 7:49-8:34, what time should i go to sleep at? what time should i get there at? what time should i set my alarm clock for? i take awhile to get ready in the morning bc i have to straighten my hair and pick out close wash my face brush my teeth all that, i am confused and nervous! plus my school isn't giving out the locker comination until the first day bc they just got new ones! i am soo nervous someone help me!!

  1. haha calm down! figure out how long it takes you to get ready in the morning and set you alarm for that much before you have to leave. (or earlier if you tend to hit the snooze) Go to bed as early as possible! at least 8 hours before you wake up.  As you get older, you will stay up later craming for tests and stuff but for now stock up on your sleep.  And you need to chill - middle school doesn't count for anything thing anyways - just have fun.


  2. I don't know how much sleep you need, but figure out how much time it takes you to get ready, and subtract that from what time you have to leave. You might want to add a few minutes for how long it takes you to get ready, because sometimes things don't go smoothly and you don't want to be late. Now that you have the time  you have to wake up, subtract 8 hours from it. You shouldn't go to bed any later than this. If you want to be well rested, or take a while to fall asleep, go to bed an hour earlier.

    Maybe even more important to being well rested is consistency. If you sleep in really late and stay up late on the weekends, your body will try to adjust to that, and make you get tired later, so that on the weekdays when you must go to bed, you won't be tired. Even if you go to bed on time if you sleep in, you probably won't be tired at the right time the following night. Get up and go to bed at the same time everyday.

  5. you should go to bed around 9:30 to get a good amount of sleep and i would get up at like 5:45 to get ready but it depends how long it takes you to do you hair and stuff and to save time pick your clothing before you go to sleep so you don't have to worry about it in the morning =]

  6. calm down. its gonna be easy. try to get to sleep around 1030 - 1100 every night and set your alarm for 515-530 . i have to do all the same things in the morning and i usually get to school on time getting up then
